My ‘Feet Free’ workshop at Yoga Loft was a success this weekend! In preparation for the two-hour inversion/arm balancing adventure I revisited how to teach crow pose (bakasana) and headstand (sirsasana).
A couple of things I remembered after looking at these familiar poses with fresh eyes.
Imagine having a thigh master inside your arms for crow pose…remember thigh masters?
Use a ‘birdy perch’ (a block) under your feet when coming into crow pose if you have tight hip flexors.
It is really fun to say ‘sirsasana’ with a Sean Connery accent. Remember him?
