My roommate and I attended a workshop on Saturday about sustainability in a yoga practice. The basic format of the workshop was practicing (and discussing) the most prescribed poses from B.K.S. Iyengar in his book Light on Yoga. It was fascinating to see what poses he recommended to do everyday (for the rest of your life) and which ones were not prescribed very often, or omitted completely. Shoulderstand was the most prescribed pose. Chaturangas were only prescribed three times.
