My om-girl, Erica Smith is visiting this weekend.  She ventured from Kansas City to attend my Kids Teacher Training.  It’s been a weekend of yoga and shenanigans.  It started after my Candlelight Class at Yoga Loft, I went to dinner with my friend Bridget and then did handstands in the El station as we waited for Erica’s arrival.

Saturday morning, my out-of-town visitor was a trooper and took all three of my classes, two vinyasas and even a prenatal class.

Join me the evening of June 21st at Yoga Loft for a ‘Candlelight Mala’ class to welcome in the summer. The summer solstice marks the longest day and shortest night of the year This purification ritual consists of 108 sun salutations to ring in the new season and break out of the darkness of a long winter. The repetition of the class is meditative, purifying and challenging. Open to all levels.

Toddlers are natural yogis! Tula’s ‘Toddler and Me’ class is a specifically formulated class for this adventurous and exciting age (crawling-3 years old).  Our class incorporates breathing, dancing, partner poses, games, story-time and relaxation, so that the tots can enjoy the benefits of yoga while bonding with Mom or Dad.

April is my favorite month.  Springtime and it is my birthday month. Sending you and your loved ones light and happiness.  Hope to see you on the mat this April.

Are you looking for me?  I am in the next seat.

My shoulders against yours.

You will not find me in stupas, not in Indian shrine rooms,

nor in synagogues, nor in cathedrals:

not in masses, nor kirtans, not in legs winding around your own neck, nor in eating nothing but vegetables.

When you really look for me, you will see me instantly-

you will find me in the tiniest  house of time.

Kabir says: Student, tell me, what is God?

He is the breath inside the breath.
